Ezekiel 37:1-14 - The hand of the LORD was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
I said, “Sovereign LORD, you alone know.” Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’” So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone
I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army. Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.’”

These past few years have been death for many. Death in careers, death in relationships, death in health, death spiritually and emotionally. Ezekiel was put in a position by God to see death all around "Dry Bones". We know when something is not watered it dies. The word of God, spoken into our lives, waters us and breathes life back into us. The word of God is truth, life and health unto our dying flesh. God asked Ezekiel, "Can these dry bones live?" Ezekiel turned it back to God by saying, "Only you know," but God showed Ezekiel that the answer for life was in his own mouth. God told him to speak what thus says the Lord and how to call what was needed to him in the name of the Lord and Ezekiel saw how dry bones started connecting and health started being restored, the sound of life started coming back into the bodies and the last element needed was the spirit of God as it was in the beginning. When we turn from God like Adam did, we die in trespasses and sin, we are disconnected from the vine (Jesus) our life line. God wants His people to stop wandering and live. He wants His people to be in the place that we ought to be in Him dwelling peacefully and full of life, Zoë Life. God sees where we are, all the discouragement, hopelessness, thoughts of giving up, laying down and dying. He wants to restore His people that the world has no love for and has left to perish so that it is evident to all that God is with us, no matter how grave the situations of our lives may look or seem, one word from God can breathe life His spirit back into us and we His people will stand again as a strong army ready for battle. It is important that we fall in love with the bible, the word of God, that it becomes delightful and sweet to us. When we are full of the word we are full of life and Gods spirit and can not just sit back and watch people dying around us struggling to get up, rattling but not fully there, wanting to live but don't know how. We being full of the word of God will be ready to pour out life everywhere the Spirit of the Lord takes us and uses us to restore His people by the breath of His word. God is raising His people up in this end time from a place of defeat and restoring them as His vast and mighty army, for what is full of the word of God can not die but live to declare the works of the Lord. Father, thank You for Your word that breathes life back into me. Thank You that when I speak Your word I breathe healing and life back into the lives of those dying, who have taken their drink from other fountains that were contaminated, wandering and not watered by Your word, the fountain of life. Let me daily delight in meditating on Your word Father, hearing from You and always led by Your spirit and full of Your spirit so that You can use me where ever I am as a vessel carrying life for Your people who are lying in a dead place.
