Jaden's Prayer

As we lay Jaden down to sleep, we commit him,

Lord, to You to keep.

From the crown of his head to the soles of his feet

May the comfort of Your spirit and his spirit meet

As into Jaden's life his purpose You speak

Give him strength of a giant and a spirit that's meek,

A heart after God and a talent so unique.

May Jaden follow You for the rest of his life

And even from this day send him a God-fearing wife.

Crown him with wisdom, understanding, Lord give him foresight

To walk in Your way on the path that is right

So Jaden will always be salty and light

To bring to this world Your kingdom insight.

This is Jaden's prayer we pray day and night

And on the tablets of his heart Your commandments

we write.

One day may Your spirit in Jaden ignite

And spark as inspiration for him to win souls for Christ.

Cover his mind, heart, ears, and eyes from the appearance

of fear

To his spirit of love, power and sound mind Jaden will only adhere

And for the rest of his life may his vision be clear.

Grant him courage and boldness and grace to persevere

To fulfill his destiny because, Lord, You sent him here.

With these requests and thanksgiving, Lord hear Jaden's prayer

Continue to guide and protect our son Jaden year after year.
